According to Senator Shehu Sani who represents Kaduna Central in the senate, sending a Nigerian to space in 2030 will be a total waste of money.

His position is against that of the Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, who in March, stated that Nigeria will launch its first Astronaut into space on or before 2030.
