Governor Threatens To Expel, Prosecute Confirmed Cultists

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has directed all state government owned tertiary institutions to commence the expulsion and prosecution of students confirmed to be involved in cult-related activities.
Governor Wike who gave the order while speaking at the convocation of the University of Port Harcourt on Saturday, condemned cultism and the violence associated with it. “I hereby direct governing councils of tertiary institutions to proscribe all cult and related groups, if they have not done so already and summarily dismiss and prosecute any student found to belong to such groups or participates in such devilish activities.”
Assuring that his administration will always invest in the school for the purpose of developing the state, Wike congratulated the graduands, and urged them not to rest on their academic achievements, but take concrete steps to succeed in all their future pursuits.
The governor gave his words that his administration will work towards creating employment opportunities for the graduands.
In his address, the Pro-Chancellor of Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST), Justice Iche Ndu (rtd) commended the governor for commencing the construction of the College of Medical Sciences.
