9 Year Old Girl Raped To Death In Rivers State

A 9 year old girl simply identified as Miracle was allegedly raped to death by unidentified persons at the Elele Roundabout in Elele Community of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State on Wednesday January 13th.

According to PM News, the little girl was on an errand to buy food-stuff for her mother when she was abducted and raped, leading to her death.

After waiting for hours for her to return with the foodstuff, Miracle’s mother raised an alarm and a search party was launched.

Her body was found the next morning January 14th within the vicinity of her family house.

A family source said that they woke up the next morning Thursday, January 14th to behold the lifeless body of Miracle with blood all over her nose, mouth and private part.

It is believed that some cult members might have carried out the dastard act as investigations by the residents and family members later showed that the elder brother to the deceased was a cultist and has been in the custody of the Rivers state Special Anti-Robbery Squad since last December 2015 over cult related issues.

There are insinuations that her death may be connected to a revenge by a rival cult group. The Rivers Police Command has not made any statement regarding the incident.
