EFCC arraigns Dasuki, Yuguda, Bafarawa on fresh charges of corruption

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday arraigned ex-National Security Adviser, NSA, Sambo Dasuki, former Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda, ex-Sokoto State Governor, Attahiru Bafarawa, his son, Sagir before a High Court in Abuja

The accused are standing trial over fresh charges of money laundering and criminal breach of trust

As at press time, the charges were being read at Court 24 of the FCT High court, Abuja.

The anti-graft agency had yesterday charged Dasuki, a former Director of Finance at the Office of National Security Adviser, Shuaibu Salisu; a former General Manager at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Aminu Babakusa; a former Senior Special Assistant, Domestic Affairs to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Waripamowei Dudafa, now at large; and two firms, Acacia Holdings and Reliance Hospitals before the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The accused persons were arraigned on a 19-count charge bordering on money laundering and criminal breach of trust.
